Fabrics and Patterns
Some fabrics used in the colonial times were linen, cotton, wool, flax and hemp. These were most used because they were less expensive. Weavers and spinners made the clothing out of these fabrics by using a wheel and looms. These fabrics were also dyed to give them various colors. Some of the patters often used were floral patterns, calico patterns, and stripes.
